Bern
A few days ago,we went to Bern, I enjoyed the town. Bern's old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, other UNESCO World Heritage Sites we've visited are Angkor in Cambodia and The Jungfraujoch. I also enjoyed watching the bears in the bear pits(1) begging for food. I think it's sad that they are in that pit
. After the bear pits we went to the Paul Klee Zentrum. I enjoyed looking at his art. After the Paul Klee Zentrum we wanted to go to the Einstein house but unfortunately it was closed when we got there. So instead we saw the clock(2) chime. It starts with the rooster crowing, then the jester rings the two small bells while Father Time turns the hourglass in his hand. Then the bell on top chimes and the rooster crows again ending this popular atraction. It was fun. Then we went home. It was a wonderful day!

Are the bears in a zoo? Are people allowed to feed them? That seems wrong.
What did you think of Paul Klee's art? I haven't seen much, but I've liked most of what I've seen. There's a painting of fish that I really like, but I've only seen it as a postcard.

The answers to the first question is no. They are kept in a pit just across the Arau river from the old town. People are allowed to feed them but I think just the heathy food you buy at the TI nearby.I think it is wrong, and according to the Lonely Planet and Rick Steves Guidebooks, the authorities are considering a move.
We enjoy your blogs, and being able to keep up with your travels. Sorry you missed Einstein's house; you'll have to settle for the new book on Einstein that just came out. Thanks for posting your Swiss trips.

We just came back from a vacation to the state where your mom and dad met and saw 2 bears in the wild at the National Park. It sounds like they have a better life than the ones in the pit.
Thanks for updating your blog. We often check it to read about your amazing travels. We're eager to see a picture of Sarah, to see evidence that you're reunited.
Love,
Aunt Amy & family
